AMERICAN ELM

Ulmus americanan

Plant Description
Large scale, deciduous shade tree with classic form and spreading branches. Stately tree that requires a great deal of space and is often susceptible to Dutch Elm disease. Preserve existing ones where possible, but would recommend planting one of the newer, healthier varieties such as Lacebark Elm or Alle Elm.
