Plant Description
Forsythia is a deciduous shrub most noted for it's bright yellow blooms that appear in early spring. Forsythia is a woody stemmed shrub that has an open and airy feel and grows between 5-7' wide and 5-6' in height. The yellow colors in spring are vivid and noticeable but only last for about a 2 week period. The rest of the year it the shrub is rather normal and is very plain. If you do plant is it recommended that you plan in combination with an evergreen backdrop.
